Getting help
Support is people answering email. The fastest way to a useful answer is the form inside the app, because it can attach what we would otherwise ask you for.
From the app
- Open the account menu at the foot of the sidebar and choose Send Feedback…. On macOS it is in the Help menu too, and on the sign-in sheet it is Contact Support.
- Choose the Type: Problem, Idea or Question.
- Describe what happened and what you expected — up to 5000 characters.
- Attach what helps: Choose Files… takes up to 5 files of 20 MB each, and the Window Screenshot taken when you opened the sheet is added unless you remove it. Look at it first: it shows the window as it was, the page of an open profile included.
- Press Send. The sheet confirms with Message Sent and a request number; the answer comes to your email.
- Include System Information
- Adds the versions of the app and the system, your plan and the results of connection checks. Never proxy logins or passwords, cookies, site data, account passwords or the contents of pages. What’s Included… shows exactly what will be sent.
- Reply To
- The address the answer goes to — your account’s. Signed out, you type an Email instead.
Note. If sending fails, the message is kept: fix the connection and press Try Again.
From the site or by email
Every page of the site has a feedback button in the corner; it sends your message and nothing about your browser. Or write to [email protected] directly.
When to expect an answer
- A first answer from a person within 2 business days, Monday to Friday.
- The same on every plan: no plan buys a faster queue.
- Email only — there is no live chat and no phone line.
What makes a report useful
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
- The exact text of the message on the screen, or a screenshot.
- Which profile and which connection — their names are enough.
- Whether it happens every time, and since when.
Never send a password, a cookie file or the contents of a profile. We do not need them and will not ask.
Before you write
