Moving to Liminal

There is no button that moves your profiles into Liminal, and we are not going to imply there is. Below is what you can carry across by hand, what no anti-detect browser carries across, and what we have not built yet. Every line about another product links to the page it was read on.
What you can carry across by hand
Cookies and settings, one profile at a time.
- Cookies out of AdsPower
- AdsPower exports cookies in JSON, Netscape and Name=Value. Export a profile’s cookies there, then import the JSON or Netscape file onto an account card in Liminal and attach that card to the profile that uses it.AdsPower · 2026-09-26
- Cookies out of Octo
- Octo exports the cookies of a running profile to a Netscape or JSON file from the profile window. The same import on our side takes it from there.Octo Browser · 2026-09-26
- Proxies, in bulk
- Your proxy list is the one thing that moves cleanly: Liminal imports HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxies in bulk, checks their IP and location, and binds one per profile.
- The profile settings themselves — by hand
- Name, folder, workspace, the account the profile belongs to and its proxy are retyped here. The fingerprint is not copied across: Liminal generates a coherent one and binds it to the proxy, which is the part we would not want copied anyway.
What nobody carries across

- Extensions and their data
- AdsPower’s own transfer page says extensions, extension data, bookmarks and other local data are not transferred, and Octo’s export page says extensions are not saved with a profile. Install them again on the other side.AdsPower · 2026-09-26 · Octo Browser · 2026-09-26
- The fingerprint, meaningfully
- A fingerprint copied from another product describes a machine that is not yours and a proxy that may not be the one you now use. That is how a profile gets caught, not how it survives a move.
- History, passwords and open tabs
- They live in the browser data on the old machine. Liminal never syncs those either — they stay on the device by design.
What Liminal cannot do yet
The gaps that make a move more work here than elsewhere.
- No profile import from another product
- AdsPower pulls profiles in from Dolphin Anty, Multilogin and GoLogin through an API token. We have nothing equivalent — it is planned work, not shipped work, and until it ships the move is manual.AdsPower · 2026-09-26
- No cookie export back out
- Cookies come into Liminal but do not leave it yet. Keep the files you exported from the old product: they are your copy until that lands.
- No local API to script the move with
- There is no way to drive Liminal from a script, so a hundred profiles is a hundred manual profiles. If that is your number, move a working subset first and keep the old product until the rest is worth the effort.
The order that wastes the least time
If you are moving anyway, move in this order.
- Proxies first, then one profile end to end
- Import the proxy list, then build a single profile completely — card, cookies, proxy — and log in with it. One profile proves the whole path before you spend an evening on forty.
- Move the accounts you can afford to lose first
- A re-login from a new device is the risky moment of any move. Start with the profiles whose accounts would not hurt, and leave the valuable ones running where they are until the pattern is proven.
- Keep the old subscription until you are done
- Nothing here is a one-evening job, and our free plan does not put a clock on you. Let both run in parallel and cancel theirs when you have stopped opening it.
