Create and open profiles

A profile is a separate browser with its own data, fingerprint and connection. Everything about profiles happens on the Profiles page and in the Profile Settings panel beside it.

Create a profile

Press New Profile in the toolbar. There is no form to fill in first: the profile is created at once from the default template, with a generated fingerprint, and Profile Settings opens with the name selected so you can type your own.

The arrow beside the button opens the other ways to create:

Create Multiple Profiles…
A sheet for creating up to 100 profiles in one go — see below.
New from Template
A new profile from one of your templates.
New Folder
A folder in the current workspace.
The Profiles page: the list of profiles and the toolbar with New Profile

Profile settings

Select a profile and the Profile Settings panel on the right shows everything about it. The button at the right end of the toolbar hides and shows the panel. At the top are the avatar — click it to pick an emoji — the name, and whether the profile is Running or Closed.

Connection
Proxy or VPN — the route of the profile: Direct Connection or one of your saved connections. New Proxy or VPN adds one without leaving the panel. The rows UDP route and HTTP/3 show what the route allows, and Fingerprint opens the fingerprint sheet.
Organization
Folder and Tags — see Workspaces, folders and tags.
Account
Saved Accounts — the login and cookies this profile opens with; Import Account adds one from here. See Saved accounts.
Startup
Reopen Last Session brings back the tabs of the previous session. Pages to Open is a list of addresses, one per line, opened every time the profile starts.
URL
example.com
https://example.org/account
https://mail.example.net

Note. The connection and the fingerprint of a running profile cannot be changed. The panel says so and offers Close Profile; close it, change what you need and open it again.

Open and close

  • Open: double-click a row, select it and press Open, press Return, or click the profile in the sidebar.
  • Close: press Close in the toolbar or in the row, or the stop button beside the profile in the sidebar.

The Status column and the panel show where a profile is:

StatusWhat it means
RunningThe profile is open; its browser is in the window or one click away in the sidebar.
Opening…The profile is starting: its connection is checked and its fingerprint is applied before the first page loads.
FailedThe profile could not start. Most often its connection does not answer — see Troubleshooting.
(empty)The profile is closed.

Opening a profile never loads a page with your real device’s values while the profile’s own are still being applied: the page waits, and if they cannot be applied it is not loaded at all.

Rename, clone, move, delete

Right-click a profile in the table or in the sidebar, or select it and open Actions in the toolbar. The same menu works on several selected profiles; Rename Profile and Clone Profile need exactly one.

Rename Profile
Or simply edit the name at the top of Profile Settings: Return saves, Esc puts the old name back.
Clone Profile
Makes a copy with the same fingerprint settings, connection, folder, tags and startup pages. Cookies, history and other browsing data are not copied — the clone starts clean, and its fingerprint noise is its own.
Move To
Into a folder, out of one (No Folder), or into another workspace.
Copy ID
Copies the profile’s identifier — the one the Local API uses.
Set Connection…, Check Connection, Clear Connection
Assign, test or remove the connection — see Proxies.
Tags
Tick or untick tags; Manage Tags… opens the list of tags.
Delete Profile
Also the Delete key. Asks for confirmation.

Important. Deleting a profile is permanent. There is no trash and nothing to restore from: the profile’s cookies, history and settings are gone. Running profiles in a selection are skipped — close them first.

Create many at once

Create Multiple Profiles… opens a sheet where you describe the batch once:

Count
From one to 100 profiles.
Workspace, Folder, Tags
Where the new profiles go and how they are labelled.
Template
The template they are made from — the default one unless you choose another.
Name prefix (optional)
The profiles are numbered after it.
Proxy
Built-in — one per profile gives each profile a built-in proxy (Pro and Team). My proxies — one per profile and My proxies — round robin hand out the proxies you select, one each or in a circle. No proxy leaves the profiles on a direct connection. Skip unavailable proxies leaves out the ones that failed their last check or were never checked.

Press Create batch. The sheet counts the profiles as they appear; you can Cancel remaining or, on macOS, Continue in background and keep working. At the end, Copy report copies what was created and what was not.

What to keep in mind

  • No limit on the number of profiles on any plan.
  • On the Free plan profiles live on one computer. Sign in on a second one and the list is empty: No Profiles on This Device. The catalog travels between computers with cloud sync on Pro and Team.
  • In a team, the Viewer role only looks. The panel says it is view only and nothing can be changed — see Teams and roles.
